Poised for growth, our client has an exciting and challenging vacancy to join the Board of this entrepreneurial Group as the Director of Operations. From prototype, manufacture and installation of modular systems the mission is to be the best provider of high-quality accommodation in their particular market. To deliver these projects utilising their in-house design, construction and manufacturing expertise they deliver modular projects at their facility in Hampshire and by assembling them on site reduce construction time, improve quality and make their developments more sustainable.
A privately owned Company, part of a successful property Group, this expansion has been built upon their entrepreneurial spirit and through synchronizing their operations with the customers’ demands, they will reduce cost and simultaneously improve service to their client base.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the incumbent will have an overriding brief to take a lead in implementing the operational strategy and strategic goals to exceed customer expectations in terms of Product Quality, Cost and Delivery.
An outstanding achiever both academically and operationally, you will have an engineering or science related degree and relevant experience gained at a senior level within a demanding low to medium volume, project based, manufacturing environment. Process experience may well include metal work, cutting, milling, turning and fabrication ideally having delivered into the construction sector. Experience of low/medium volume, high value processes you will have taken a factory from early stage to full production. To deliver within this role you will have a passion for Continual Improvement able to engage and mentor multi-skilled teams as the business achieves it goals to increase output significantly.
It is essential that you have a strategic view of Operations, have had H&S, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Quality and CI reporting in and have an OTIF mentality. Being an excellent problem-solver with a flair for Production Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain, you will also be analytical and data driven yet action orientated.
