The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Export Sales Engineer will provide support to Channel Partners and other Customers to achieve maximum attention on products and solutions and therefore, maximise the brand presence within their market. With the customer at the heart of the role you will:

  • Provide response to Customers product or delivery time queries, enquiries, opportunities, complaints, GRAs etc., within your assigned region within acceptable response times.
  • Effectively demonstrate the product range to customers, both in-person and digitally.
  • Qualify inbound leads and enquiries using the BANT-C method qualification, ensuring compliance to ISO/IEC 80079-34:2018 and internal quality assurance procedures.
  • Issue quotations in accordance with internal quality assurance procedures, ensuring they reflect customer requirements.
  • Customer orders processing within CRM including passing all relevant information for Compliance checks and preparing Contract Review when required.

Working as part of a team:

  • Working in partnership with the Sales Team you will be responsible for your assigned region’s monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • You will be expected to manage sales in multiple channels – direct or via channel partners.
  • Ensure the regional sales pipeline is accurate and regularly updated.
  • With respect to channel partner sales you will be expected to issue monthly “Sales Report” and to participate in regular meetings with each channel partner to review their performance to date, opportunities, training, and development requirements.
  • To increase the Company’s presence in your assigned region, you will be expected to support organisation of exhibitions and webinars which may include: product launches and technical training.
  • As and when the need arises you will be expected to take full ownership of opportunities and quotations on request from Regional Sales Manager.

  • Strong IT skills and be experienced using a CRM system.
  • Exceptionally effective communication skills.

  • Problem solving skills with a solutions-based approach to sales.
  • Holds exacting standards in terms of quality.
  • The ability to demonstrate continual commitment to self-development.

  • An ability to lead and influence when required.

It would also be beneficial if you:

  • Have a second language.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area (ATEX) environments, certification, and equipment protection concepts.
  • East Midlands based, preferable Nottingham.
