Leading a multi-cultural international team of Key Account Managers and reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for developing a global sales strategy to achieve the business objectives. You will promote sales of products adhering to existing pricing policies making any recommendations for change with the aim of increasing profitable sales. With the ultimate aim of growing sales with existing and new customers, whilst improving margins, you will also oversee Marketing and be Brand savvy. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will liaise closely with the multi-site Manufacturing Operations team, Engineering and Purchasing to increase the performance of the business whilst developing new markets and customers on an international basis.
With a background in the manufacturing sector, ideally within Consumables, you will have relevant experience in sales management and more specifically managing Key Account Managers or Field Sales Representatives based in Europe. As well as being able to demonstrate an open and inclusive management style, you will be able to see the bigger picture and be decisive in your actions. Well versed in devising and implementing commercial strategies, for both the domestic and export markets, you will be an excellent communicator able to define the customer’s needs and provide solutions to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
An exceptional negotiator with well-honed business development, customer service skills and having knowledge of pricing strategies, you will be financially astute and analytical. IT and communication skills, both written and oral, are required to be outstanding. With the ability to present ideas effectively, you will demonstrate that you can ‘spin plates’ and be organised.
Our client is a UK based manufacturer of specialist pressure sensitive adhesive products. Established in the 1960’s the company has built up a formidable knowledge of the science of coating adhesives to various backing or carriers. Known for manufacturing an extensive range of adhesive products for a variety of markets including Agriculture, Construction, Nuclear, Entertainment, Industrial Consumables and HEVAC; the business boasts state of the art coating and converting manufacturing lines and, as an independent manufacturer, they have complete control over these processes, which in turn helps them to provide a customised service for their customers and distributors. Similarly all adhesives are formulated or specified in house, giving them control of the product design.
