We are searching for a Head of Operations, for one of our valued manufacturing clients, to lead the production operation of a very successful company based in Nottinghamshire. The role reports into the Managing Director and whilst the company is an SME, it’s part of a global group, and you will be responsible for planning, purchasing, manufacturing and shipping a diverse range of products to a demanding international customer base. As a key member of the SMT you will drive metrics across the business to secure the high levels of productivity required to meet ambitious growth targets.
As well as introducing KPI’s to support the OTIF delivery of safety critical products for multiple applications, you will implement Continual Improvement initiatives ensuring that people and process are aligned with strategic objectives. You will be tasked with delivering exceptional results to QCD measures operating to world class levels.
The successful person will be a high achiever academically, ideally with an Engineering, Manufacturing / Operations or Scientific qualification or time-served in an appropriate environment. Displaying strong leadership skills, you will understand the nuance of an SME, be a visible, hands-on Operations Director, Director of Operations, Head of Operations, Manufacturing, Production or Business Unit Lead and display a passion for producing low to medium volume, technically complex products. Experience of PCB production, electronic assembly, electro-mechanical assembly is required and knowledge of Ex/ATEX products advantageous. You will have in-depth knowledge of Materials, Planning and Logistics and may well have a Production Planning background.
