Interim Contracts Officer – 1 year covering maternity leave

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (Depending on Experience) + Excellent Company Benefits 

Our client is growing their team and want you to join them on an interim basis.  They have reached an exciting stage of their business strategy and now looking to grow their central legal function with the addition of further Contracts and Legal Officers.

Your experience and passion will help to deliver winning responses across the Health, Social Care and other niche markets serviced by the Group. In return for your contribution, you will be supported by excellent people who form part of our commercial team and can work fully remotely, managing your workload autonomously.

The Role:

The Interim In-house Contracts / Legal Officer will be covering maternity leave for 1 year and you will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of all contracts across the diverse range of businesses within the Group, ensuring that every contract is reviewed in accordance with the governance procedures in place and align with the relevant risk profile for the business or service to which each contract document relates.

  • The role requires a very keen attention to detail, an ability to draw upon legal expertise and align this with commercial need to provide advice/guidance and resolve complex contract matters for agreement by the organisation.
  • Primarily focused on reviewing and/or preparing contracts and associated documents, the role also requires strong negotiation skills and an ability to impart often complex information to colleagues, clients and suppliers.
  • Equally, the role involves providing advice and information to colleagues across the business to resolve legal and contractual queries.

The Candidate:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ post-qualification experience in a multi-disciplinary legal or contracts role.
  • It is also important to have an understand of commercial risks and considerations and how to apply end-to-end contract and legal review processes and governance criteria.
  • If you also have contracts/legal experience within a health/social care/life science services or recruitment environment, then this will be highly desirable.
  • You will be a tenacious and dynamic individual who can adapt to a constantly changing environment and finally, someone who is passionate about healthcare.
