Our client undertakes the design, including virtual analysis, of Ductile and SG Iron castings, can produce rapid prototypes and pre-series castings using full production processes, as well as producing serial quantities of fully machined ductile iron castings and sub-assemblies. All the facilities are certified to TS16949, ISO9001 and ISO14001, and they invest constantly in human resources and capital equipment. As a result of this, they combine state of the art production facilities with world class technical expertise.
The Role:
This is a short term contract role to assist the Sales and Supply Chain Team with progressing and coordinating problem parts through the supply chain. The role will entail the following:
- Reviewing key customer schedules and identifying problem parts
- Investigating route cause of shortages on the problem part numbers
- Gathering information to present to the customer daily in teams meetings but sometimes face to face (WIP/ Parts at Subcontractors/despatch quantities etc)
- Following up on the plans to ensure completion
- Reporting to senior management repeat offenders
The Person:
This is an immediate start for someone who is able to work as part of a multi-faceted team in order to deliver supply chain information to senior management and ultimately the customer.
- Your experience will be within the manufacturing sector operating within a customer focussed supply chain role in scheduling, planning, despatch and / or logistics
- You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to communicate effectively in order to deliver key information regarding the supply chain
- A confident and articulate person with exceptional attention to detail, able to gather information and present it in a logical format
- Excellent IT skills
