Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
A fast-moving production facility with many state-of-the-art machines requires a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with experience in hydraulics and pneumatics and highly technical production machines.
An opportunity has arisen for a talented Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the busy Engineering department, responsible for keeping the production running smoothly, round the clock, seven days per week.
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will work on a day and night shift pattern as part of a reactive maintenance team and be responsible for attending to breakdown repairs and planned preventative maintenance. You will maximise production uptime, consistently seeking improvements and relevant cost savings.
You will be an effective fault finder and problem solver, able to work methodically and quickly, sometimes under pressure, to resolve mechanical faults and breakdowns.
You will be apprenticeship trained and ideally possess a Mechanical Engineering qualification. A proven background in maintaining hi-speed production equipment is essential.
Large Liverpool-based high volume production facility, we're a 24/7 operation. It is needed to meet a very demanding customer schedule. A leader in their sector, our client are a progressive company and part of a European group.
With a mix of days and night shifts
The shifts are 12 hours from 7-7
C£45,000 per year and rising to £47,000 per year after your successful 6 months probation
