As a Non-Executive Director, you’ll have an opportunity to help steer an organisation in the right direction, helping them to be even more profitable, perform to an optimum level and have a strategic plan for the future. It’s not about running the organisation but making sure it’s well run, protecting its reputation, credibility and enabling its future growth. Facilitating success and supporting the Board leads to positive gains all round. Being a NED can be ‘one of the more purposeful things’ and the newly appointed Chairman of this successful Plc is testament to this. We are now searching for a high calibre individual to join the Non-Exec of a highly profitable manufacturing business based in the heart of the UK’s manufacturing base.
The role will require attendance at monthly Board meetings, an AGM and any extraordinary meetings of this outstanding Plc. To be effective, you will bring deep understanding and knowledge of the manufacturing / engineering sector ideally with an early career and hands on experience of production / operations within a world class organisation.
Demonstrating passion for this sector, you will already have NED experience, ideally gained within a Plc, and have the personal attributes to work well with a talented team of financial and legal experts. You will be able to navigate your way around a Plc, offering advice in order to be compliant and to ultimately delight the shareholders. Highly skilled in strategic analysis and decision making you will be able to challenge decisions offering guidance to the CEO and other Board members.
