Based: Lichfield, Staffs

Salary: c£80,000 + Bonus + Car + HC + Pension

 

We are representing a highly successful UK Company, part of a Global Group, which sells a range of market leading automated and manual bespoke products, to a number of sectors, offering installation and aftercare services.  With expertise in the door and window controls industry they have an extensive product range, backed by comprehensive project management skills, whilst offering full technical support for the supply only or supply and installation of automatic doors.

 

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Director will have the autonomy and full responsibility to devise the operational strategy and lead manufacturing, production, assembly, supply chain and logistics, to improve all processes in the key areas of delivery, capacity planning, people development and CI.  Your task will be to ensure that the operation achieves higher levels of performance through people and processes and KPIs are aligned with strategic objectives to achieve world class status.  A talented individual, with integrity and well-honed leadership skills, is sought to work with the very capable senior team. 

 

The successful person will be a high achiever academically, having demonstratable achievements in operations within world class manufacturing and / or production environment ideally within a best practice manufacturing organisation and able to demonstrate a passion for engineered, bespoke products.  Ideally with some technical knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes, we are searching for a driven and visible Operations Director, who can drive cultural change, within a traditional engineering/manufacturing business.

 

A Lean champion, you will have proven capability in introducing new initiatives to improve processes, and ultimately reduce lead times.   You will have delivered successful projects and CI initiatives and able to demonstrate exceptional people management skills. You will have vision yet be analytical, results focused yet a natural manager of people with the gravitas to work closely with a dynamic Board of Directors and SMT.
