Regional Sales Manager

Location: Remote / North

Salary: c£45,000 + Commission OTE £12,000 + BMW Car + Exceptional Benefits

 

Kendall Poole Consulting is representing a leading measurement technology company and a fantastic opportunity now exists for a Regional Sales Manager to manage a regional sales territory of both existing customers and new prospects covering the north of the UK. The global company is innovative and designs technically advanced precision products to a wide customer base. This role is key for further growth of the business within the allocated territory, based on your location in the UK, and has great scope for future career development within the organisation. You will be well supported by both the UK Sales Manager and the Internal Sales and Technical Support team.

 

Our Client is a rapidly growing company, due to both increasing market share and market leading new product developments, with many new product portfolios planned for launch this year and the near future. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a more senior position within the organisation: whether they manage a team, become a product specialist or a combination of both.

 

The Role:

  • Key Account Management of existing customers: retention and account development
  • New Business Development: Develop relationships with target accounts from existing database of prospects in line with company strategy and convert new enquiries into orders
  • Focus on developing business with the following customer types: OEM‘s, Machine Builders, System Integrators and large manufacturing sites across all sectors
  • Communicate at a technical and commercial level with design, project, production, quality managers and directors
  • Identify, discuss and understand customer requirements and select suitable product(s)
  • Present proposals to the customer including product demonstrations/evaluations and overcome objections and win business
  • Build long term customer relationships gaining repeat business

 

The Candidate:

  • Educated with NVQ Level 5 or higher in an engineering or science discipline
  • Experience in a field sales role ideally with knowledge of the current marketplace for industrial sensors or automation (desirable but not essential as product training will be given)
  • Good technical acumen with an understanding of solution selling
  • A hunter with a proactive approach to dealing with new customer enquiries
  • A relationship builder and business developer
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals
  • Flexibility for travel in the UK (North) and occasionally to Germany for product training
