Location: Droitwich, Worcestershire (Hybrid)

Salary: c£60,000 + Benefits

The Senior Project Manager will report into the Project & Engineering Group Manager – UK & EMEA. Working as part of a close knit team, you will be responsible for commercial, contractual, scheduling, cost management and reporting aspects of a number of projects in parallel.


In conjunction with the Project Manager, who is responsible for the customer liaison, design coordination and manufacturing aspects, the Senior Project Manager will ensure successful delivery execution of projects, to schedule, on budget, compliant with the contract and to the utmost satisfaction of the customer. In addition, you will maintain visibility of and report out on schedule, cost variances, scope changes, risks, opportunities and commercial / contractual matters.


The Role:

  • Handling multiple projects country wide you will be responsible for contract reviews to ensure the Company’s commitments are consistent with the Company’s offer complying with the project execution process
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities 
  • Create, manage and control project budgetsand schedules
  • Commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors 
  • Identification / pursuit of claims for additional cost
  • Interim invoicing / final accounts 
  • Regular interim reporting to Management and the Customer
  • Collate and report out on project KPIs on completion 
  • Adherence to Company quality, environmental and health and safety procedures 


The Candidate:

  • HNC qualified or above with experience in a project delivery environment and proven project management skills able to manage the financial status of a project
  • A recognised Project Management accreditation e.g. Prince2, APM or PMI is desirable
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts and subcontracts would be beneficial with knowledge of building services highly desirable
  • Commercially astute with contractual and time bias finance skills supporting customers, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Organised able to plan the use of people and resources to meet the schedule 
  • Focussed, team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for action
  • Strong interpersonal skills, to collaborate with the multi-disciplined team
  • Effective negotiator with the ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations
  • Able to monitor and control budgets
  • Using your own initiative you will be able to make decisions under pressure
  • Creative problem-solving skills, conflict management within different organisations (centralised and matrix organisational structures)
  • Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with a drive for results
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Project
  • Valid driving licenceas occasional travel will be required to client sites
