FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Based: Rotherham with travel

A vacancy now exists for a Field Service Engineer, reporting into the Operations Manager, and our client is the UK's leading provider of leak testing and process viscosity solutions. They provide non-destructive scalable air leak and flow testing systems designed for medical device, automotive, EV battery, industrial and packaging applications, and accurate viscosity measurement, even in the most challenging applications. The Role:
Servicing/calibrating equipment and repairing faults, both in house and in the field, offering telephone support and travelling to UK customers sites.
Using various strategies and tools to provide effective solutions to customers' concerns you will communicate with customers, colleagues and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.
Maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrade and calibrate all equipment ensuring proper calibration and working order of instruments and tools needed.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and calibration traceable to national standards to ISO 17025.
Monitoring equipment and machinery and conduct quality assurance and safety checks.
Prepare quotations for repairs, calibrations, spare and modifications. Technical support on sales quotations.
Promptly following up on service requests and provide customer feedback providing recommendations about new features and product improvements.
Attending workshops to remain abreast of industry developments you will provide recommendations about new features and product improvements.
Completing service reports and presenting findings to Managers.
The Requirements:
Technical qualification with Electro-Mechanical engineering experience ideally with pneumatics, electronics and electrical bias.
An inquisitive Service Engineer who can use various strategies and tools to provide effective solutions to customers' concerns.
Excellent active listening and customer service skills who can promptly follow up on service requests and provide customer feedback.
Communicating with customers, colleagues and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.
Able to work independently and as part of a team with the ability to deal with multiple requests and remain professional under pressure.
Superb work ethic and a positive mindset.
Flexible for travel to UK customer sites and to the US manufacturers for training. There may be some travel requirements in the EU in the future as the business grows.
Basic computer skills.
Demonstrating a thirst for learning. Full training will be given on the product range.
