Are you a talented Operations Director with a strong Supply Chain / Production Planning background operating in the Manufacturing sector?  If so, we have an exciting vacancy for an Operations Director to lead a hi-tech, precision engineering / manufacturing Group, based in the Cambridgeshire area over multiple sites.

Part of the Senior Leadership Team and reporting to the CEO, you will have budgetary responsibility, to lead the facilities, to improve all processes across Production and the Supply Chain.  As well as introducing KPI’s and metrics to support the OTIF delivery, of safety critical products for multiple applications, you will lead the implementation of Continual Improvement / Lean / Quality / HSE initiatives ensuring that people and process are aligned with strategic objectives.  You will be tasked with delivering exceptional results to QCD measures operating to world class levels.

The successful person will be a high achiever academically with an Engineering, Production or Science qualification and ideally Six Sigma qualified to black belt.  Already a visible, hands-on Operations Director, Head of Operations or Manufacturing / Production Lead, within a complex, low / medium volume manufacturing business, you will display a passion for people and enjoy producing technically complex products. 

You will be a focused and collaborative Operations leader, with multi-site experience and a proven background in world class manufacturing methodologies, who can lead improvements across production, assembly and test processes and drive efficiencies, promoting cultural change, as the business evolves.  A talented individual, with integrity is sought, people focussed with a team mentality and well-honed leadership skills, who can work closely with a new, dynamic SMT.

A Lean Champion, always striving for improvement in people and process, you will have exceptional people management skills, be able to see the bigger picture yet be analytical, data driven and results focused.  You will be an exceptional communicator, display energy and positivity.
